Ulrich Ulrichs joined the Rickmers-Linie management team in 2005, taking on responsibility for line management. In 2008 he became Director Line Management before being appointed Deputy Managing Director in August 2011 and Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director in July 2012. He has been CEO since 2014, continuing as CEO of Rickmers-Line since takeover of business operations by Zeaborn Group. Ulrichs began his shipping career with Hanjin Shipping in Hamburg. He joined AAL in Australia for several years before returning to Hamburg. He holds a degree in shipping economics and port management.
Rickmers-Line is part of Bremen-based Zeaborn Group, an integrated shipping company operating globally in the MPP segment. The group provides services along the entire value-added chain, meeting capital market requirements. Zeaborn Group has a team of close to 200 employees and currently controls a fleet of about 50 multi-purpose heavy-lift vessels with deadweight capacities between 7,500 and 30,000 tonnes, and a combined lifting capacity of up to 700 tonnes.
