The conventional traffic and facility monitoring systems entail constant human attentions and have limitations from fatigues, distractions, or errors. The Intelligent Monitoring and Alarm System (IMAS) developed by the UH researchers creates intelligent algorithms which can be embedded in the existing camera network or integrated into a new surveillance system to identify potential perpetrators in moving or static states.
